Genna has provided school-based occupational therapy services over the past 7 years. She has a passion for working and collaborating in school based settings. She focuses on working as part of the interprofessional team and sharing her knowledge with graduate students from many universities as a Certified Fieldwork Educator. As the lead Occupational Therapist at Newgrange School, Genna provides the most evidenced based, fun, and meaningful therapy to encourage students to participate and engage to their full potential.
She has presented at the American Occupational Therapy Association Conference, the American Speech Language Hearing Association Convention, the New Jersey Speech Language Hearing Association Convention, and other regional conferences. She is a current member of AOTA (American Occupational Therapy Association) and NJOTA (New Jersey Occupational Therapy Association). Genna has her Sensory Processing Proficiency Certificate Level 1 from STAR Institute and Temple University and is an Advanced Mentored Clinician in Sensory Processing Disorder. In addition, she is an Interactive Metronome Certified Provider, and is trained in the Mindful Schools: Mindfulness Foundations & Mindful Educator Curriculum, and the Learning Without Tears programs.
