Marcia has over 20 years of experience as a speech language pathologist. Her evidence based practice focuses on collaborative treatment including clinical instruction through externships from various colleges and universities and mentoring new SLPs during their clinical fellowship year. Marcia is the lead Speech Language Pathologist at Newgrange School and is passionate about working with students to enhance their communication, language, literacy, and social skills for academic success and successful transition to the community.
She is PROMPT trained, RAVE-O (Reading with Automaticity, Vocabulary, Engagement, Orthography) trained, Reading with TLC (Telian-Cas Learning Concepts) trained, is an Interactive Metronome Certified Provider, and has been trained through Mindful Schools including Mindfulness Foundations & Mindful Educator Curriculum. Marcia is a member of ASHA (American Speech Hearing Association) and NJSHA (New Jersey Speech Hearing Association) and is the recipient of the ASHA Award for Continuing Education (ACE) in 2012 and 2015.
